Cloud cover just got bigger

File storage on remote servers in the cloud has been around for some time now and that is why you don't need portable devices with large spaces to store files on anymore. I personally use Dropbox and it works fine syncing files and folders across my multitude of devices, allowing convenient and easy access. Although I have not used them, I understand that SugarSync and SkyDrive (Microsoft) are also pleasing.
Google has now got on to the bandwagon with the launch of the Drive. The iPad version is not yet available and so we have to place our trust on others. Based on the article here, it should provide temptation away from Drobox due to a larger free capacity (5GB) which can be upgraded at much cheaper prices.
Another advantage of the Drive would be the ability to edit or create documents although these need to be in Google format. This would definitely be a plus point if done conveniently and accurately.
For now though, we just wait and be faithful to Dropbox

Kraftwerk are back

Kraftwerk Revisits ‘Autobahn’ at MoMA Retrospective - NYTimes.com
Kraftwerk still exist after all this time, albeit only with Ralf Hutter from the original line-up. Their current performances at the MoMA in London are restricted only to 450 people each night for 8 nights, retrospecting an album each night. How I wish I was there!

What is it with Ricky Gervais and the disabled?

'Derek': Ricky Gervais really ought to lay off the disabled – Telegraph Blogs

The Galaxy Note: Toddler Phone

Tablet writing is supposed to be the Galaxy Note's niche area and statement of intent. However, as can be seen from this review, there is still some way to go before pen-and-paper can be shelved. It has a great display and is quite fast, but then consumes quite a bit of power. Too small for a conventional tablet, it looks like something mummy would get for her toddler in the way of a phone. In a nutshell, no reason to get one at the current asking price.
